It’s a common way to get a cheap laugh: mention that China doesn’t care about IP infringement and that a lot of fake products exist. There are a good number of people willing to copy just about anything if it gives them a way to make a quick Yuan. So color me unsurprised to find a fake MacBook Air at one of the small booths hidden in the corner.
The fact that it was presented at the front of a moulding company booth makes it all the more amusing. This wasn’t a system, but a picture of an iOS desktop was plastered on the ‘screen’. Someone should tell these guys about what the MacBook chassis color actually is, and how the logo isn’t fully underlined.
They also got a bit agitated when I started taking pictures.

imaheadcase - Saturday, June 1, 2019 - linkThat desk does look kinda cool. Desks that let you adjust the height with touch on hand are hard to come by anymore.
edwpang - Sunday, June 2, 2019 - linkIt's pretty cool. I did notice it has buttons, but I was wondering what do they do. Those should be thankful to be noticed by Anandtech to say the lest.
piroroadkill - Saturday, June 1, 2019 - linkIt's just a prop. They're clearly selling desks.
vanilla_gorilla - Saturday, June 1, 2019 - linkHave you never been into a furniture store before? They put fake laptops on them to stage them. They cost next to nothing and there's no threat of them being stolen and you get a feel for what it will look like in your home. They've been doing this for ... ever?
beginning - Monday, June 3, 2019 - linkThis isn't the type of news I expect from anandtech. Just registering my displeasure.
MadManMark - Monday, June 3, 2019 - linkIt's a prop which a furniture company is using to sell a desk.
Slow news day?
